![]() It's so random.Īny help would be greatly appreciated. yet allowing him to host just fine? Again, all with nothing changing on our ends, and him having speeds of 65 down, 4 up, which should be more than enough to join as a client, if not host. This conundrum is maddening and doesn't make any sense to us, especially since it worked perfectly for a year prior to this. Why would it suddenly stop allowing him to join, telling him his speeds are insufficient to join. 4 out of 5 stars I Got it for free coz my friend sharePlayed FIFA 21 with mecoz. Does it matter if he has a static IP for port forwarding? Anything else EITHER (or both) of us can change? 2 GHz Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon HD. and suddenly he couldn't connect again, even though we changed nothing. We tried again last night, happy it had worked. Super randomly, once he changed his DNS to Google's, it DID work for one night last week. and yet he can HOST Shareplay but it says his connection is too slow to join. So his speeds on PSN are actually FASTER for download but SLOWER for upload than mine. My buddy gets about 65 down and 4 up on both speedtest and on PSN his tests on PS4 are in the yellow. When I host, it tests in the mid-to-high blue on the meter. on PSN those speeds are anywhere from 30 to 85 down (usually in the 40 range, for whatever reason my PSN speeds are like half my actual speeds) and 7 or 8 up. On I get about 90mbps DOWN and 12mbps UP. I've also tried port forwarding on my router. I have mine set up with a static IP, and using Google's DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). But again, that's the opposite of how we've played for the past year, and I own NHL 17 and intend on continuing to host. He fires up Borderlands and Shareplays with me - and I can connect just fine. Perhaps the most notable new feature is SharePlay, which allows up to 32 people to enjoy the same TV shows, movies, music and livestreams and more in sync with each other on FaceTime calls. I can fire up NHL 17 and try to Shareplay - no go. The weird part is, I CAN connect to him if he hosts. One night he couldn't connect, and that was that. But our internet speeds have not changed, settings have not changed, nothing has changed on our ends. I'm not sure if it's since the 4.0 system update, or what might have changed behind the scenes on PSN, or what. Suddenly, the past month or so, he has not been able to join my Shareplay session. Mine's a bit faster, so I always host and he joins. We both have good high-speed connections. Without improvements to the Ultra’s processing components, the more affordable Streaming Stick 4K and 4K+ are still more practical, and holistically we prefer the latest Chromecast experience to what Roku offers. My friend and I have been using Shareplay flawlessly, with no problems, for the past year. Beyond that, the new Ultra doesn’t significantly upgrade or change the user experience, and we still think this box is overkill for most people-unless you really need features like an Ethernet (LAN) port and expandable storage. Press the Back button again to return to game play. Your game will pause and bring up the share menu: Select the Instant Replay option to enable recording of the last 5 minutes of your game play. ![]() On your SHIELD Controller, press and hold the Home button. The Voice Remote Pro complements the Roku Ultra handsomely: It has a built-in rechargeable battery (though it uses Micro-USB and not USB-C), a microphone that can be always-on or push-to-talk, two buttons you can program to be custom shortcuts, a remote finder, and a private listening mode with a headphone jack. NVIDIA SHARE MENU Launch the game you want to share. However, the new Roku Ultra (which is a box, not an HDMI stick) comes bundled with Roku’s Voice Remote Pro for $100. ![]() Our testing revealed that the device itself is just a refresh of the 2020 version, delivering essentially the same hardware and processing as the older model. In 2022, Roku released a new Roku Ultra-sort of. ![]()
